About Me
Originally from the Midwest, I completed my Bachelor's in Gender Studies at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and moved to the West Coast to complete my Master's in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy at the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon in 2010. I am now based in San Francisco and work with clients across the state of California and Florida.
My personal journey with therapy transformed my way of existing in this world. I feel honored and deeply humbled by the story each client brings into the room. I seek to empower not just the individual but to build strong, thriving community that can sustain and support these journeys. I welcome clients to show up exactly as they are in that given moment; in joy, in pain, in suffering, in transition. The act of being human is sometimes messy and flawed and also filled with imagination, creativity, and beauty.
I believe in social justice and activism as core to mental health and well-being for all. I participate in advocacy work in my community and engage in the self-reflective and internal work to examine and challenge my own belief systems and privileged identities. I welcome these conversations in the therapeutic relationship and continually work to unearth my internalized bias that may impact my theory and uphold systemic oppression.

I believe my clients are the best experts on their own lives and work from a compassion focused, collaborative approach utilizing evidence based integrative and post-modern psychotherapeutic approaches including narrative therapy, internal family systems, and compassion focused therapy. I work with individuals aged 18+ with a focus on those aged 25-50 and relationships including families and non-traditional situations. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level 2 (CCTP-II) and I specialize in work with those struggling with trauma and intense stressful life events as well as eating, exercise, and body image concerns. I also work with people experiencing difficult life transitions, substance use, relationship difficulties and those just seeking greater understanding of themselves.
